Sound Quality: B
Slightly sped up, which is annoying in places, and won’t sound too good on bass-heavy systems, but all instruments are quite clear.
Performance Quality: B
Still not quite the finished article – Reni’s drums aren’t as silky as they got, being slightly “rockier”, and Squire and Mani occasionally make mistakes, but Ian is great and the whole performance is very melodic, with great backing vocals from Reni, especially on This Is The One. Slightly short though, and no IATR (though this could have been cut).
Why should I get this bootleg?
You won’t hear another This Is The One as good as this. Rare bootleg.
Fan Reviews
“The legend begins. Many Roses tunes are perfected. Reni’s drumming is heavy still. The sound quality is clear, very good.” – Takatoshi Nabeshima, Japan
Noel Gallagher tells a story about this bootleg in an interview with XFM (http://www.xfm.co.uk/artists/noel-gallaghers-high-flying-birds/news/download-xfm-presents-conversation-noel-gallagher/). Noel was at the gig and saw a guy making a recording and asked if he could have a copy of the tape.
