Sound Quality: A
Crystal clear, good instrument separation, noise-free. Acoustic and rock sets handled wonderfully. In the top three Roses bootlegs for recording quality.

Performance Quality: B
The acoustic set is brilliant, and Ian sounds quite good. The keyboards are way too high in the mix though and are all over IATR and Waterfall, which I think is a bad thing. Squire also sounds a bit drugged-out, messing up on SBTD, Daybreak, IATR and Love Spreads.

Why should I get this bootleg?

The length of the set and quality of the recording, the best performance of Fools Gold with Maddix on the drums and to hear the messed up IATR, where Ian sings the wrong pitch, Squire and Mani play at the right pitch, but Ippinson improvises and plays at Ian’s pitch! It sounds very… interesting. And yes, it is pronounced “Shitta”.

Fan Reviews

“Fucking brilliant cos it has Fools Gold and it’s really long.” – George Chuddy, USA

“Excellent. Squire does mess up a bit, but Ian’s fairly good for a change. The drums are a little too high as well as the keyboard, but you can still hear all the instruments fine. Fools Gold is cracking because it’s completely different to the earlier version (not as good as Glasgow Green though).” – Ben Cohen, England

  1. It’s Club Citta- not Chitta, and is located in the Cittadel area of Kawasaki!

I have never heard cittadel pronounced shittadel, so I don’t really understand why you would say that. Even though you thought it was Chitta, I still don’t see how that would be pronounced as “shitta”.

Also, I drummed on this and I was boss.
I was the only thing keeping the band together by this point – without my amazing drumming for Mani and John to play along to, they would have fallen apart. I am the Stone Roses. I actually was the first choice over Reni for the reunion, but I turned them down because I’m far too good to waste my time with a band who sound like a cover band of their own band.

    – Robbie Maddix
