Sound Quality: C
Obviously an outdoor gig, the sound (esp the treble) swirls in and out quite often, and the bass is too soft. You can also hear some annoying girls messing about. When sound is stable though, it is very clean sounding.

Performance Quality: D
Bad, a very loose performance. Ian comes in with the vocals at the wrong time more times than you can count on one hand, and the band sound quite unrehearsed. Mani might help to explain why though; he grabs the mike and shouts to the audience “Not bad for a band that can’t hear fuck all on stage man!”.

Why should I get this bootleg?

To hear some of the reasons why the Roses never made it in America.

Background

The Roses were fourth on a bill of seven, the event being organised by a local radio station, so their set had to be shortened. The band were only really famous for Love Spreads at the time in America, as it was played a lot on the radio and also used for a Red Cross commercial. Also on the bill were Duran Duran, who Ian got on well with after the show.
